First off, we got here safe and had a great first night and great debrief! The kids are sharing prayer requests and Brady Culver did real well leading worship for his first time.
This morning we all went to the Good Shepherd Food Pantry which provides food for 70,000 people a month – a huge distribution center. They handle millions of pounds of food per year. Our job is inspecting food for liquid damage, or bug or maggot infestation. We checked hundreds of boxes and found a bunch of boxes with bugs and liquid damage. Later today we will be going on a ½ hour tour of the distribution center to find out more about what they do.
Then we’ll be heading back to camp, to cleanup, eat, and meet for debrief tonight. The focus this morning in our devotional was on how God called Joshua to be strong and courageous. We will be talking about that tonight.
At camp, we are staying at the Missions house – the girls are on the 3rd floor, guys on the 2nd floor, and there is a common room for debrief on the 2nd floor.
The kids are meshing well and having a good time!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s adventure…
Andrew
